Roof Cleaning
Fascias 4 u has been undertaking roofing work and restoration work for many years now. We can remove and replace your old roofing tiles or we can restore them which we have been treating for the last five years using specialized coatings. Concrete roof tiles have a life expectancy of 30-35 years, during their life they become porous and once they start to become porous they break down very quickly. This is perfect for moss and lichen to grow on and in time the tiles may crack allowing water to seep slowly into your roof causing rot and costly repairs in the future.
Ridge Tiles
Moss grows around the ridge tiles and occupies any cracks and crevices it can find, the damp moss freezes in the winter increasing the size of these cracks and the problem becomes worse each year. After cleaning, the ridges must be re-pointed or replaced with a dry ridge system. |

Step one: Roof Cleaning
Using specialized pressure washer equipment the cement roof tiles are cleaned to remove all moss, lichen etc.
This process will reduce the damage caused by existing moss growing on your roof which will freeze during sub zero temperatures.
A considerable amount of debris will come off your roof and this is removed from your home by us after the cleaning process is completed. |

Step 2: Tile treatment
A bio degradable water based solution is then applied to infuse the roofs surface, this treatment will stop any hidden spores or moss from becoming active. This will also stop any future growth and will prevent any underlying deterioration to the sealant process and the top coatings
Step 3: Restoration Work
All loose and broken mortar between ridges crests and hip tiles are hacked out and treated by re-pointing with re-enforced mortar. We then address any loose caps, ridges or crests.
All damaged, broken or ex-foliated roof tiles will be replaced.
The mortar verges and valleys will also be sealed, skimmed and treated within this process. |

Step 4: Coating your roof.
The first coat is applied and must be allowed to dry and bond before the second coat can be applied (drying time will vary depending on weather conditions). The second coat is then applied which in turn will result in the look of a newly fitted roof.
